New Providence CRAFTSMAN KITCHEN

Architect: RS MANNINO Architecture

Builder: RS MANNINO Construction

Project Location: New Providence, New Jersey

Craftsman kitchen alterations.

RS Mannino Architects created an authentic craftsman style kitchen to complement the exterior of a 1920’s craftsman residence in Northern New Jersey.

To maximize space, the existing small kitchen and dining room were converted into one large eat-in kitchen, including a wet bar. We linked the side entry to three points of the house; kitchen, dining, and living room which opened up the space and provided additional natural light. The new hallway was formerly part of the pantry which was reduced to gain additional space for the larger kitchen. We reduced the pantry size to accommodate a more open and inviting back entrance (which most guests use).

Since the large center beam was exposed we wrapped it in white oak and carried that look across the room. Tongue and groove v groove ceiling with quarter sawn white oak beams coordinate with the white oak wood floors.

Beautifully Designed Kitchen

The green cabinets (Sherwin-Williams Artichoke) complement the green accent trim on the home’s exterior. Thermador appliances, Absolute Black granite countertops, and white backsplash tiles in Arley Peronda add a finishing touch on this kitchen that’s perfect for entertaining as well as sharing baking and cooking experiences with the family’s young children.
